Skincare

One of the most significant outcomes of Lupus is its adverse effect on the skin.

Rashes and bruises may appear anywhere on the body, but one of the most recognizable signs of Lupus is the malar rash—commonly known as the “Butterfly Rash.” This rash appears as a “purplish” rash across the cheeks and the bridge of the nose, forming a butterfly-like pattern in the “T-zone” area of the face.

Learning about skincare became a true turning point in my journey. Becoming an esthetician helped me understand the benefits of effective treatments and products—giving me the tools to soothe, protect, and care for my skin. This knowledge not only improved my skin health but also helped me regain confidence.

By focusing on prevention and mindful care, I’ve been able to avoid the Butterfly Rash and embrace skincare as more than beauty—it’s become a tool for healing, wellness, and empowerment.

And Warriors you can too.
