Dr. Charisma Atkins, DrPH is an Epidemiologist, Esthetician, and Fitness Enthusiast who has thrived as a 25-year Lupus and Chronic Kidney Disease warrior. Diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) during graduate school and later with Lupus Nephritis, she transformed her health journey into a source of strength—emerging as a health activist, wellness enthusiast, and powerful panelist.

A proud graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of Georgia, Dr. Atkins has dedicated her career to helping others understand the impact of illness and disease on individuals and populations. In 2023, she earned her Doctorate in Public Health while also receiving a life-changing kidney transplant. Ever evolving, she has collaborated with numerous organizations and agencies on issues such as Lupus, Kidney Disease, Women’s Health, Infectious Disease, and Chronic Disease, all while maintaining her own path to wellness.

Her passions for advocacy, skincare, and fitness inspired her to launch SimplyCharisma Health & Wellness Solutions, a full-service consulting and advocacy firm that empowers warriors to embrace total wellness by strengthening their body, mind, and spirit.
